The Best Las Vegas Thrift Stores & Vintage Clothing Stores

by Carley Lake | Last Updated:   June 16, 2020

I admit it—I like Las Vegas. You can grab an egg sandwich at 3 in the morning, see your pop star of choice any night of the week (well, actually, those Lady Gaga tickets are a bit too expensive), have an Elvis-themed drive thru wedding, and leave with a sequined and fake feathered-dress from the Vegas days of the Rat Pack and the Copa Room Stage from Las Vegas thrift stores, vintage stores, and antiques stores.

Just head a few blocks past the main Strip, close your eyes as you pass the (fake) gold Trump Hotel, and continue on a 10-minute drive to Las Vegas’ Arts District for vintage clothing and antiques (real) gold.

All Las Vegas thrift stores, vintage stores, and antiques stores are saved to this Las Vegas Good Finds Google Maps List to use on your upcoming Vegas visit.

But first, the first online vintage clothing swap is here!

I’m thrilled to invite you to join the Lucky Sweater App vintage community—an exclusive space for vintage enthusiasts to connect, trade their favorite vintage clothing pieces, and share style tips and inspiration. It’s like a little secret society for those of us who love vintage clothing and want to get the coolest vintage pieces without having to buy, buy, buy.

Use my invite code “VINTAGEVEGAS” to get instant access and let’s share our finds and stories! It’s the app I co-founded and built so would love to have you join me and thousands of other vintage enthusiasts. You can download the app on iPhone and Android!

1. MAIN STREET PEDDLERS ANTIQUE MALL

Before your next costume party head to this one of the top Las Vegas thrift stores for costumes. Find vintage cowgirl, cowboy, clown, showgirl, more showgirl, genie, and more, of Las Vegas shows’ past. These aren’t your costume-in-a-plastic-bag from neighborhood party store but high-quality, one-of-a-kind show stoppers with fringe, embroidery, and my favorite—pounds of sequins details. You won’t have to worry about showing up in the same cat costume to a Halloween party again.

2. PATINA DECOR

This collection of 1960s, bright, patterned maxi dresses should not be missed. Transport back to 1960s Flamingo Las Vegas with accessories, shoes, and furniture from the same area. (No ties to the mob needed.) This is a must on your Las Vegas thrift stores and vintage stores journey.

3. VINTAGE VEGAS ANTIQUES

I spent the majority of my Arts District visit here…not trying on clothes, but starting at the walls of old Polaroid cameras, antique bird cages, 1950s salon hair dryer stands, a ventriloquist dummy, and a crushed red velvet coffin with a headless, bloody mannequin. Did I mention I love Vegas and the Las Vegas thrift stores?

Past these treasures is the vintage clothes section with an assortment of dresses (~$50), hats, Hawaiian shirts, a few costumes, and vintage bathing suits (~$95).

4. RETRO VEGAS

This Las Vegas thrift store and vintage store had me at its life-sized flamingo sculptures outside it’s front doors and kept me inside with its low prices. Find boots, leather bags, belts, t-shirts, lingerie, jean shorts, jeans, bathing suits, warm up clothes for Vegas show dancers, and more in the upstairs used clothing section. (Dresses at ~$30.)

5. ANTIQUE ALLEY MALL

Cue another place I considered more of a museum and time capsule than simply a store. What I started at: neon signage from old bars, vintage barbies, skeletons, Barbara Streisand memorabilia, rusted fire hydrants, and multiple curated vintage clothing sellers’ stations.

Sellers at this Las Vegas antiques mall specialize in 1950s party dresses, costume jewelry, Hawaiian shirts, sports jerseys, leather jackets, and more.
